So much could change in a moment; a lot can change in five years.
“Five years. That’s how long it’s been since I’ve seen Jared. Five years to the day since I was dragged from his arms kicking and screaming. Now, after years of putting my life back together, I must face my abusers. But having a chance to see Jared again makes it all worthwhile.”
When Layla and Jared see each other for the first time after several years apart, the connection they had comes rushing back. For Layla, seeing Jared also brings back a past she'd rather forget. And as she gets closer to Jared, she realizes just how deep her affection for him goes. Struggling with her emotions and memories, Layla sees that she isn't the only one who was damaged. Jared's secrets are far more profound than she could have imagined.
Layla and Jared must learn to stand up and speak out against the ones who hurt them. But facing your demons comes at a price. A price Layla and Jared must decide whether they are willing to pay.

Review & Wrap-Up:
All of Me is so far my least favorite of Vi Carter’s books. Not that the story wasn’t good, I just didn’t connect with it like I have the others. Maybe its because I was expecting a continuation to her A Broken Heart series, and was surprised (and slightly confused) when I found I had started a different series all together. Whatever the reason though, I just didn’t connect.
That said, All of Me is a well written romance about those you call family during terrible times. It’s a tragic story of abuse with a happy and uplifting end. A great contemporary romance for young adults looking for a quick fun read.
From one bookaholic to another, I hope I’ve helped you find your next fix.

Pair it with: Dark Horse Chardonnay
This elegant medium-bodied chardonnay displays rich flavors of baked apple and pear, layered with toasted oak. It exhibits notes of caramel and brown spice with a smooth, lingering finish. Pair with pork, rich fish - such as salmon or tuna - and vegetarian dishes. Make sure to get your bottle here!
