Author Bio:

When Vi Carter isn't writing contemporary romance books, you can find her reading her favorite authors, baking, taking photos or watching Netflix.

Married with one child, Vi divides her time between motherhood and all the other hats she wears as an Author.

Vi's main goal is to give readers the same emotional ride that she got from reading Colleen Hoover and Jennifer L. Armentrout books.

Review & Wrap-Up:

When Vi Carter asked me to be a part of her Beta reading group I was thrilled for a couple different reasons: 1) I was honored that she asked me to be a part of her Beta reading group to begin with! 2) I loved Saving Grace, book one of the A Broken Heart series and was excited to see where the series went next!

Claiming Amber is the second book in the A Broken Heart series by Vi Carter, however, it most definitely can be read as a standalone. I had known in advance that the book was going to be focused on Emmett’s “mafia” dealings, but I was a little disappointed when Grace (from Saving Grace) plays an extremely small roll in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed Grace’s story that I was sad to see that it wasn’t continued here. But once I got over that small detail, Vi did not disappoint on this story of Emmett and Amber!

Claiming Amber has a Fifty Shades of Grey vibe to it when it comes to the actual story line: rich man falls in love with a less affluent woman, and the ways it changes her life and his attitude toward life. Biggest difference between the two though: the sex scenes in Claiming Amber are PG compared to those of Fifty Shades!

Claiming Amber is a fast paced, action packed mafia romance, one that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat one moment and swooning and turning to mush the next! If you enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey, but are looking for something with a little more action out of the red-room, then I highly suggest picking up a copy of Vi Carter’s Claiming Amber due out November 29th!

And make sure to check out my review of Saving Grace, also by Vi Carter!

From one bookaholic to another, I hope I’ve helped you find your next fix.

Dani's Score out of 5: 📚📚📚📚

20181017_195525-01-01[1].jpeg

Pair it with: Dellatorri Chianti Riserva

Medium dusty garnet color. Aromas of diced cherries, fresh thyme, cacao nibs, pressed flowers, and polished leather with a satiny, lively, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a sleek, engaging, medium-length cedar shavings and pink peppercorns finish with well-integrated, medium tannins and moderate oak. A highly ageable Chianti that will be best after 3-6 years.

Pair with Spaghetti Bolognese, Lamb Tagine, or Souvlaki, and of course with Claiming Amber by Vi Carter!
